Why I hate Pocahontas: The Opinion of TheFabulousFAN

I get most people hate Pocahontas for its historical inaccuracy, and so do I. It just doesn't seem right to me to have John Smith (who was a Pervert, Betrayer, and Conquerer) as a ডিজনি prince and looked at in such a angelic light. Since most people's agreement is "it's just a movie." And "it's not Disney's job to make teach history." I'm not asking for a historically accurate film that would be terrible for children. I'm stating it was a mistake to be made a BASED of real history story..it could have just been a যেভাবে খুশী Native American but no they chose Pocahontas and they twisted and bent the story. I personally refuse to even look at a John Smith character in a heroic light because of the real John Smith actions, But staying on topic. Since most people say 'it's just a movie' then fine it's just a movie as long as people know its fake and not even close to reality. Then I guess that means I can make a movie about Adolf Hitler as a ডিজনি prince...right? I mean it's just going to be a movie. And I'm going to make it so Adolf falls in প্রণয় with a Jewish Girl and they both stop Nazism because they প্রণয় each other...and I'll make products of Adolf Hitler পুতুল and he can be most handsome on DP তালিকা and who knows he could even be your পছন্দ ডিজনি prince ..right? I mean who cares it's just a movie ...people will look at Adolf as Heroic too...but of coarse just the character in the film not the real Adolf. I can't wait to see that movie... Adolf Hitler পুতুল will be flying of the shelves. Girls will প্রণয় Adolf Hitler and The Jewish girl will be there পছন্দ princess. It the lies about Pocahontas that makes me hate it ...and it's not the name John Smith it's the fact the associate it with REAL history and people like John Smith and Pocahontas as a couple when in reality he was TERRIBLE to Pocahontas. Just like Adolf hitler ...he was terrible to Jews ...so having a Jew as his প্রণয় interest and Glorifying him as a hero is BAD. But like most people say "it's just a movie, People like the character not the actual person." I hear that so much too. আপনি can't have someone that was responsible for destroying an ENTIRE RACE be praised and then fall in প্রণয় with some one else of the RACE THEY TRIED TO DESTROY! But hey, it's just a movie so my Adolf Hitler movie can be made too ^_^ and he will fall in প্রণয় with a Jewish girl.

banjoth I'm sorry but I disagree, like you said there are statement like, the original wouldn't at all be for children. I love it, I don't care if it's inaccurate. That has nothing to do with me.

But it's like, after meeting Pocahontas, he suddenly wants to understand them and leave them alone. But doesn't he already have blood on his hands from his previous adventures?

zikkiforever @TigerRanma yeah they did sort of hint he killed them before. He was with Radcliffe and what Radcliffe was doing would suggest John was killing them. I thought that anyway, if he was with Radcliffe and he was killing them he must too. Nice article, though little kids don't know about the history. A bet half them don't know about Pocahontas being real. It is good disney movie I think, inaccurate or not it doesn't take away the magic. People never like John or Poca due to the history, BUT that is not there fault. I think the movie and characters are underrated. Though, I wouldn't mind the Hitler movie

324anna I honestly didn't know that John Smith was so bad in real life. I knew that Pocahontas was historically inaccurate but I had no idea about him. If it's true, then I understand why you don't like the concept of the film. But I wish you had included more things about the movie, you concentrated only on the fact that it's historically inaccurate.

TigerRanma Yeah, when I saw Pocahontas in theaters, I was 6 years old. I hadn't learned about the real Pocahontas. Actually I hadn't learned about History yet. It wasn't until I was over 8 years old that I read a book about the real Pocahontas. It was just a small children's book that didn't give a lot of information. Only Pocahontas's real name, that she saved John Smith, and that she married John Rolfe. Then Pocahontas 2 came out when I was 9 and I saw that she got with John Rolfe. But I didn't know how bad the English settlers were to the Native Americans until I was maybe 9 or 10 in History class.

jmvdwaal dude comparing adolf hitler to john smith is rediculous. just think about it. before this movie barely anyone knew john smith but everyone knows hitler. and making a movie about hitler would get lots of hate. you cant compare someone that killed 6 mil jews 70 years ago ( still fresh in memory) to someone that killed indians 00 years ago. just look at americans. many americans have great great great grandparents that killed indians. no one is complaining about that.

Maleficent & Wicked: Tales from the Dark Side

Hi guys, an idea had struck me on লেখা this article. It is a comparison between Wicked and Maleficent, are আপনি ready?

The Story

Although the film is like Wicked, but Maleficent is a darker and গথ দেশীয় version of Wicked. Mainly because of how the film is portrayed.
Whereas Wicked is আরো lighter despite that it has some darker approach at some point of the film, so I would not label it as Gothic.

Tale as Old as Time

Hi guys, I know that I only a comparison of both the 1991 animated classic with its 2017 live-action reboot. So now, I'm going to write 3 versions of it which includes the Broadway Musical.

The 1991 Version

Since we all grew up with the animated feature, I feel that the story actually makes fall in প্রণয় as it teaches about our inner strength. When I first saw this version many years ago, I was not terrified of the beast at all surprisingly and my favourite character at that time was Lumiere because he is a very interesting character and I would imitate him, especially candle arms.

Hi guys, an idea had struck me if ডিজনি were to make their own film about the famous Romanov princess. Here we go!

They Should Make It!

Since Don Bluth had done it back in 1997, ডিজনি should do it. In this version, they would make her mother Alexandra Fyodorovna along with Rasputin the main antagonists with the latter brainwashing the latter, prompting mother and daughter to be estranged অথবা however the relationship should be. It wasn't until the final scene that Alexandra came to her senses!

They Should Not Make It!

I personally think that should not make it, because if they make Rasputin as the bad guy again. The story will be so familiar with the 1997 version! Unless they change the story and choose a brand new antagonists for the film.

1. Bergamasca (Marco Ucellini)

This সঙ্গীত will be best, especially for the 3 classical princesses. It is very gentle and smooth when they dance with their princes.

Music soothes the savage beast, do you agree?

Since I had done the actors for the Beast, now it's the singer from Popera genre on who will be the perfect Beast.

1) Josh Groban

I have always been a অনুরাগী of him and after listening to his rendition of If I Can't প্রণয় Her from the musical version on Youtube. I personally felt that Josh should have been cast as the Beast!

2) Urs Buhler & Carlos Marin (Il Divo)

Just so আপনি know that Carlos Marin had previously played the Beast in the Madrid production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and I personally felt that his voice is আরো suitable.
