There was a very জনপ্রিয় প্রবন্ধ made a long time পূর্বে about the origins of ডিজনি princesses names and I wanted to do something with the names of ডিজনি princes. These names will be done in a যেভাবে খুশী order and some princes will be left out for various reasons (such as SOMEBODY not even having a name).
1. Adam
Adam is the Hebrew term for man. I think this is pretty obvious because according to the Bible, Adam was the first man created. In a way it is fitting that the Beast is called Adam once he is transformed back as he is human again and now a man not a beast.
Another name meaning is red. This is a reference to either the red skin অথবা red earth of Eden. There are less লিঙ্ক between this meaning and the Beast. This may be due to the fact that the name was added quite late after they realised they could not continue to call him Beast.
2. Naveen
The origin of the name Naveen is Indian/Hindi. It means "New". This name is appropriate in some ways as Naveen goes on a journey and ends up a changed/new man.
3. John Smith (Named after a historical figure so some of my analysis may be a bit redundant)
In Hebrew, John means Jehovah has been gracious. This could link to John Smith as he is viewed as a handsome and good character.
His সেকেন্ড name Smith is very common. It is also stereotypically British which may explain why it was chosen for a n English explorer. Smith means tradesman and is probably linked to blacksmiths.
4. Philip
Philip derives from the Greek word Philippos. The meaning behind Philip means fond/friend of horses. This is entirely suitable as Philip has a white horse named Samson. They seem quite close.
5. Eugene and Flynn
The meaning of Eugene is well born. This is perhaps slightly ironic as Eugene was an orphan and not noble born. He was also a thief.
On the other hand, Flynn is actually an Irish surname. It means descendent of Flann (where Flann can mean ruddy অথবা red-haired). There is a chance that this is a hint at Flynn's parentage but is mostly just a coincidence.
6. Aladdin
Unsurprisingly, আলাদীন is an Arabic name. It means faithful. This is perhaps an odd choice for the name of a thief, but it was obviously chosen as আলাদীন is an adaptation of a story from 1001 Arabian Nights.

I'll be starting a hair style competition soon in the polls! It will be similar to the outfit one we currently have going on. I want to make sure I get all of them for all the original DP চলচ্চিত্র (no sequels). Different hair styles means anytime their hair looks different. For example, if Ariel has a ফুল in her hair that is considered a hair style. So I need help finding them! Leave pictures of ones আপনি find so I can make sure I get them all. অথবা a তালিকা of maybe all your পছন্দ princess' hair styles. Everyone is welcome to help. I appreciate it.
Thank you!
