Ok so I saw a talented user here post an প্রবন্ধ about the Bechdel Test and being the Walt geek that I am, was immediately inspired to do a Walt ডিজনি Test.

Walt ডিজনি was unfortunately only alive to fully see over the production and release of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty which are known as the "Classic Princesses". For this reason, I took everything in common that I could find with these 3 princesses for relevancy to rate the others. The 14 commonalities I found were: 1.) Beautiful Face 2.) In Shape Body 3.) Soft/Sweet Speaking Voice 4.) গান গাওয়া Voice 5.) Dance Scene [Solo অথবা with Others] 6.) Modest Clothing 7.) Innocent Virtues (Kind, Modest, Reserved, Humble) 8.) Animal Friend অথবা Pet 9.) Marry the Prince [& Live Happily Ever After] 10.) There is Magic Involved in Their Story 11.) Female Villain 12.) Born/Married into Royalty 13.) Wear a Head/Hair Piece 14.) Have the Color Blue in at Least 1 Outfit

So, since the majority of the princesses have been made post-Walt's death without his supervision and approval, which ones would still meet his standards? The purpose of this is to see which princesses are the most up to what Walt Disney's standards for a princess were and what he liked to incorporate into princess films. [This was before the commercialized franchise.] I will exclude Snow White, সিন্ড্রেলা and Aurora from the তালিকা as they are the Standard. They will be referred to as the [i] Classics for the sake of condensing where possible.

1. The Little Mermaid/Ariel meets 14/14 Standards:
Although Walt ডিজনি died before he got to see this film made, he was still a major role in the planning and development as he started on it in the late 1930s soon after Snow White. link দ্বারা chance, original story and visual development work done দ্বারা Kay Nielsen for Disney's proposed 1930s Anderson feature." There were many changes to the script but Ariel is a জনপ্রিয় অনুরাগী favorite. I find it rare that anyone sees Ariel as আরো traditional since she is such a progressive and open-minded character. This was a beautiful blending of what Walt wanted and what was trending at the time.

2. TIE - Belle and Tiana meet 13/14 Standards:

Beauty and the Beast: Like The Little Mermaid, this is a story that Walt had his sights on after Snow White. Walt tried to develop this in the 1930s as well as the 1950s but it proved to be too much of a challenge. After the success of [i]The Little Mermaid however, those challenges were finally overcome. Belle's most unique characteristic is her knowledge and প্রণয় of reading. The only thing her story lacked in common with the Classics was a female villain. This was a beautiful blending of what Walt wanted while incorporating change and what was trending at the time.

The Princess and The Frog: This is one that Walt hadn't actually thought of but he'd certainly still be proud. All of the production and development for this film occurred around 2006 and after. This film is probably the best proof that ডিজনি could do new, different, diverse, traditional and Walt all in the same package. Like Beauty and the Beast, the only lack of commonality with the Classics was a female villain. I personally think this would be the film that Walt would be the most proud of since his death. Tiana has all of the qualities that the Classics have and more. She is very balanced with humility, modesty, grace, work ethic, self-respect, determination, perseverance, ambition, etc.

4. Tangled/Rapunzel meets 12/14 Standards: Another story that Walt hadn't considered. This film started production and development starting in 2002. Rapunzel's character was written to be আরো "Renaissance, bohemian" woman than typical ডিজনি princess. That being ব্যক্ত the only 2 things she lacks in common with the Classics are an outfit with the color blue in it and she doesn't marry a prince. Personally, I think Walt would've liked everything about this film except her not marrying the prince and a wanted criminal instead. She is the princess so of course the criminal saved her, that doesn't erase his background and character. Him taking on responsibility and commitment in addition to a complete abstinence from crime would be his route to earning Rapunzel's hand. Other than this, I think Walt would be proud.

5. TIE - Frozen/Elsa & Anna meet 10/14 Standards: (Or 10.5 Depending on how আপনি look at it with the "Female Villain") Although this is the newest Princess film out yet (or so it seems as it has not been formally inducted yet), this is actually one of the films that Walt ডিজনি had already had in mind and been working on also around the time of Snow White. Originally titled Snow Queen, this film proved to be too problematic and Walt had to put it on the shelf. Interestingly, this film's development started increasing after the success of the Renaissance Period but was unfortunately shelved again. It wasn't until Lilo & Stitch that the ডিজনি team were finally able to find a way to make the Snow কুইন work, inspired দ্বারা the sisters Lilo & Nani Pelekai. The lack of commonalities between Elsa & Anna and the Classics are: no pet/animal friend (Sven is Kristoff's so I didn't count him and Olaf is a snowman not animal); neither marry a prince; neither wear a hair piece. Since Walt was such a family man, I think he would have been very proud of this film despite those few differences. The সামগ্রিক theme of ফ্রোজেন was about family and it still very much represented his মতামত and standards of what he wanted princesses to be as far as personalities and qualities.

7. TIE - Jasmine, Pocahontas(Rebecca) and মুলান meet 9/14 Standards:

Aladdin: All of the production and development of this film began in the early 1990s. It was taken from the story 1,001 Nights but changed dramatically (Chinese to Arabian for example) and greatly Disney-fied (even with lots of cameos of earlier characters). The 5 lack of commonalities জুঁই has with the Classics are: soft/sweet speaking voice (hers is আরো sultry/seductive); modest clothing; innocent virtues (modest, humble, kind even to those they don't like অথবা who are mean to them); marry a prince and female villain. I don't think Walt ডিজনি would have been proud of this one at all because it is disrespectful to the culture it represents and not in line with his modest values. Walt always wanted his ডিজনি company to be as innocent as possible and the staff did not do him justice with this princess. I think Walt would've been perfectly fine with the concept, just not the execution. I think the changes he would've made with জুঁই [aside from making her আরো true to her culture in general] are as follows: আরো modest, softer than sultry voice, and politely reject the suitors instead of attack.

Pocahontas: This film was entirely conceived of etc. in the 1990s. It was meant to be a sort of, Romeo and Juliet type piece, where Pocahontas is torn between wanting to help the English white settlers and obeying her father who wants to destroy them. The lack of commonalities between Pocahontas and the Classics are: soft/sweet speaking voice (hers is আরো mature and stronger but in a good way); doesn't marry a prince; no magic in her story; no female villain and no hair piece. I really do think Walt would have loved to have personally worked on this piece, mostly because she is real. However, I think Walt would have kept it আরো historically accurate since the truth আরো resembles his traditional family values. Pocahontas chose to adopt the name Rebecca and married John Rolfe, had a son together and lived happily ever after. This is something that I think Walt would have included in the 1st film and I don't think he would've added the imaginary romantic relationship between her and John Smith that never happened. I also don't think he would've used the name "Pocahontas" since it means "naughty one" and was only her nickname. Her real name was Matoaka until she legally changed it. Aside from making the story আরো accurate, I don't think Walt would've changed much else. I'm not saying he would've made it totally accurate, the real story has to be Disney-fied for audiences, I just don't think he would've made it as inaccurate. Inaccuracies aside, I think he would've been happy.

Mulan: In the mid 1990s ডিজনি started to dip their toes in Asian-themed animation. One short they were working on was link who is whisked away দ্বারা a British Prince Charming to happiness in the West. ডিজনি combined this with The Song of Fa Mu Lan, the Chinese poem, to create Mulan. The lack of commonalities that মুলান has with the Classics are: soft/speaking voice (good for her story to better fake male voice in army); no dance scene; no marrying a prince; no female villain and no ties to royalty through birth, marriage অথবা even adoption. I know there are going to be a lot of people out there who don't agree but I don't think Walt would've liked মুলান joining the battlefield. All statistics প্রদর্শনী that women on the frontlines are bad for the women, the men, the military in general and our country's chance of winning. Because of this I think Walt would've absolutely embraced the "Chinese girl whisked away দ্বারা British Prince Charming" but I don't think he would've supported a role model that gives girls unrealistic expectations that could get them killed অথবা other horrible things that tend to happen to women who যোগদান the military. I am not saying that women shouldn't be in the military at all, I am just saying that I don't think Walt would've approved of encouraging young girls to যোগদান the military to be on the battlefield. I think Walt would've been আরো comfortable if মুলান had been a military nurse instead of passing as a male soldier.

10. Brave/Merida meets 7/14 Standards: (Or 7.5 Depending on how আপনি look at it with the "Female Villain") She is hailed as the most progressive and atypical of all the princesses. Some do not prefer this change and others embrace it. It was announced in 2008 as The ভালুক and the Bow but was released in 2012 as Brave. The many lack of commonalities that Merida has with the Classics are: no soft speaking voice; no গান গাওয়া voice; no dancing; lack of innocent/demure virtues; didn't marry prince and doesn't wear a hair piece. It's obvious that Merida doesn't fit in line with the original standards but is that necessarily a bad thing? Walt ডিজনি cared about innocence and good prevailing so no, I don't think Walt would've been disappointed with Brave/Merida. Although she started off reckless, impulsive, irresponsible and self-centered, she really did go through a transformation change (it just took her mother almost dying at her father's hands for it to happen). Since ডিজনি wasn't one to leave out tragedies (Bambi; শিয়াল & the Hound; etc.), I do think he would've enjoyed Merida's character arch since good prevailed in the end and she saw the error of her ways. Knowing Walt, I think he would've at least added a song and dance if not a prince and happily ever after wedding and ending. Overall, despite the seemingly numerous differences, I do think Walt would've been proud. Especially because it was also an original story.

So সামগ্রিক Ranking based on my estimation of Walt's পছন্দ ডিজনি princess/film to least are:
1. Tiana - Princess and the Frog

Because he didn't think of it but it comes from a classic fairy tale, she meets his classic princess standards and goes above and beyond. She learns about প্রণয় and life as well as reaches her separate dreams and makes her dreams come true.
2. TIE: Ariel - Little Mermaid & Belle - Beauty & The Beast
Because both of these are pieces that he worked on but didn't get to finish. Both of these princesses meet all of his standards [even if the film's other aspects don't] and I think he would've been really proud to see the finished products.
3. TIE: Elsa & Anna - Frozen, Rapunzel - ট্যাঙ্গেল্ড & Merida - Brave
Because with Frozen, he really wanted to find a way to make the Snow কুইন work and I think the ডিজনি team did a wonderful job at doing that while keeping to his family values. With ব্রেভ I think he would've loved the originality and character arc of maturity etc. The reason they are one spot below Ariel & Belle is because Walt is very traditional and I think he would've liked them just a bit আরো if he got to see their happy ending with a prince. I still think he would've loved them though. Rapunzel fits all of the standards that Walt had for his princesses except for marrying a top, quality man (the prince). I don't think he would've approved of marrying the criminal but otherwise I think he would've loved Rapunzel.
4. Rebecca - Pocahontas
Because Pocahontas is very close to meeting all of his standards. Although she doesn't marry a prince, it's kind of like she did because she married into a much better life for herself (I'm in no way saying that's the sole reason). There is no magic in her story but their version of the real story is compelling enough without magic. Nature fills that role instead and I think Walt would've absolutely loved this.
5. TIE: জুঁই - আলাদীন & মুলান - Mulan
Because I think he would've wanted either a better character arc in জুঁই অথবা different characteristics altogether. With মুলান I think he would've wanted a different plot. I don't think he would've hated অথবা even disliked these characters, I just think he would've made the most changes to them and their films than all of the other ones.

*Note: I request that মতামত would be made in constructive and considerate manners please. I understand there will be people with opposing opinions and I প্রণয় to hear them and am very open to them. However, please refrain from blatant extreme and baseless accusations such as I'm a sexist অথবা that Walt ডিজনি is. Some মতামত are আরো conservative but that doesn't make them sexist. Nothing about my মতামত অথবা Walt's মতামত are sexist, they are simply rooted in traditional family values that may অথবা may not be as important to you. Please be respectful and mindful. I don't mind opposing opinions at all, I just don't appreciate absurd accusations.

A knock sounded. "Princess Elsa? It will be time for your coronation in an hour. Please get ready and come down to the chapel."

Elsa acknowledged the servant with a sharp "Yes." And walked up to her mirror. She gazed into it and saw her reflection. Eleven years had passed since she had been visited from the stranger and gotten her powers. Eleven years since she had first found her sister annoying. Eleven years since she had first gone into isolation.

She gazed into it and saw her reflection.
She gazed into it and saw her reflection.

At this point it is নিরাপদ to conclude that the সঙ্গীত is the most prominently outstanding aspect of Frozen. Moreover, the soundtrack, score and presentation of marvelously spectacular and masterfully performed songs are objectively and noticeably superior to those of any of the other চলচ্চিত্র pertaining to a so-called “New Era” of ডিজনি such as Princess and the Frog, Tangled, ব্রেভ and Wreck it Ralph. That undoubtedly have their merits and are exceptionally competent and engaging in terms of using সঙ্গীত to set up a necessary mood. However, are nowhere in the neighborhood of the breathtakingly...

Amy Mebberson - I doubt anybody HASN'T heard of pocket princesses, but just in case the link is below. Her work is incredible!

Morloth88 - Morloth's art isn't the most accurate, but her ডিজনি School comics are amazing. For those of আপনি complaining about ডিজনি girls having their personality changed in high school AUs, I think you'll find Morloths art আরো than satisfactory.

Okay I noticed a countdown on this club and the results are in my opinion insulting to Disney. I'm not trying to offend anyone, especially the one holding the countdown, but I mean come on, the computed animated films didn't even leave yet. Plus I think people have a different idea of অ্যানিমেশন than I do because when I think of অ্যানিমেশন I mostly think about the actual অ্যানিমেশন itself, not the drawings and consistency, thought that's part of it. But the big part is the colors, the brightness and darkness, the shadowing, and the effects. Now I'm going to separate the computer animated films...

Hello everyone! I know I haven't written in a long time. It was because I was on vacation. I went to Antalya for ten days. Antalya, my hometown, is one of the most জনপ্রিয় holiday cities in Turkey. I went to Antalya before and stayed for a week, in the villas of the hotel called Kaya Palazzo. This time I stayed in another উদ্যানবাটি of Kaya Palazzo.

I really missed all of আপনি over the holidays, and also লেখা articles, polling and light discussion. This প্রবন্ধ is about coincidences and theories that we all find in ডিজনি Princess movies. I hope আপনি will like it. If আপনি are comfortable, start reading....

Dungeons & ড্রাগন (or D&D for short) is a super fun টেবিলের উপরে roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend আপনি give it a try if আপনি ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my পছন্দ hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. I'm fed up now. My পছন্দ princesses are the least popular. At least in ফ্যানপপ it is. Elsa, Anna and Moana.. All of their value has been forgotten. The most overrated princesses today are Ariel, Belle, সিন্ড্রেলা and Aurora. Especially Ariel, it's so overrated that I can't stand it. The best of everything was "ARIEL" lady. The most beautiful: Ariel, THE BEST AGAIN ARIEL. I will go mad. Do আপনি know the hit song "What's my name" দ্বারা Uma in Descendants 2? I wrote a song with the melody of this song, remember it is not copy right free.

Anna and Elsa are two of Disney's most passionate, determined, and independent leading ladies. Their time in ফ্রোজেন and ফ্রোজেন 2 has been full of action, adventure, and compassion. It's no wonder that their adventures have struck a chord with so many fans. Here is why we should find out why they are in the line of the পরবর্তি generation of Badass Female Characters!

When Rapunzel heard the call from outside her tower, she assumed it was her mother, and her হৃদয় sank. Normally she'd be glad to see her, but after their argument, she was less eager.

Well, it wasn't really an argument. Those things kind of required two people arguing. It was আরো Mother lecturing and Rapunzel listening. But it was unpleasant enough for Rapunzel to feel bad about it even after her mother left.

When she went over to the tower window, she looked down—and gasped.

It definitely wasn't her mother. She didn't have too clear a view from her tower, but the figure at the bottom was...

Snow White

Snow White is well known for her kindness and optimism — both of which act as her greatest strengths, as they've guided her safely through the various hardships faced throughout her life. She is quick to charm, winning the trust and admiration of the Prince, forest animals, and the Seven Dwarfs rather quickly, proving her kindness and pleasant aura makes her a beloved figure. Coined as the "Fairest One of All", Snow White's beauty lies both within her physical appearance and pure heart. With no negativity within her, Snow...

Personally, I thought Mena did a great job for the most part, but আলাদীন was changed from being a confident smooth talker to a socially awkward dork (and I mean dork in a nice way). The original আলাদীন had a couple awkward moments where he stumbled over the right words অথবা ব্যক্ত the wrong thing but they barely happened.
