Sorry it took me so long to finish this countdown. I just got lazy I guess haha. I did this countdown because while there have been multiple "Best Kiss" countdowns I have never seen the "Almost Kisses" get much appreciation. I think they are cute and suspenseful, so I thought I would give them the spotlight for once. Here are the results, compiled for your enjoyment. :)

9. Tiana and Naveen's 1st Almost Kiss

It's no surprise this চুম্বন left first. It's the only one here that isn't romantic in the slightest, since Tiana doesn't even want to চুম্বন him and she's only doing it to get her restaurant. While it might have some humor value, that's not enough to সরানো it from the bottom spot.

8. Tiana and Naveen's 2nd Almost Kiss

To be honest I was really sad this চুম্বন left so soon. Yeah, they may be frogs when it happens, but it occurs at a moment of growth for both characters. Naveen has just minced some vegetables for the first time in his life, প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে him that work can be rewarding, and Tiana has just danced for the first time in her life, প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে her that letting loose and having fun isn't a bad thing. It is a moment when they realize that they can learn from one another as well as the moment where they both realize their feelings for one another. It's such a beautiful scene, and has a gorgeous song to go along with it. It is probably one of my পছন্দ almost kisses on this list.

7. Ariel and Eric's 1st Almost Kiss

This চুম্বন is a little awkward, since Ariel is trying to force it on Eric. It's definitely not the best of the bunch, but at least it happens in a nice setting. The নৌকা on a lake is beautiful.

It was somewhat close to harassment on her part at that point in the film. She was trying to just force it. At least Tiana and Naveen talked about theirs first and agreed to do it. So shocked that anything else was picked before this when this was the only চুম্বন that was completely forced and সামগ্রিক just wrong in every way." ~laylastepford



6. Pocahontas and John's Almost Kiss

I wasn't sure if I should include this one in the countdown since it can be argued that they weren't actually going to kiss. I looked at the screencaps from the scene and আপনি can tell that they do lean in to each other slightly before Pocahontas looks away, so I decided I should include it especially considering the romantic tension in the rest of their body language. This is not the best almost kiss, but it isn't the worst either.

5. TIE! Aurora and Phillip's Almost Kiss; Ariel and Eric's 2nd Almost Kiss

I'd been voting for this one for a while so I was happy to see it leave. It was দ্বারা far the almost চুম্বন that I was most iffy about including in the countdown. Because the viewer is so far away from the two of them it is very difficult to tell if they actually meant to চুম্বন অথবা not. It's possible that wasn't even their intention and it's just the ending of the dance, so it's no where near as suspenseful as the others.

"We're so far away from Phillip and Aurora... that we don't see any action going on from this distance! This is just the trailing off of a dance... At least, in TLM's সেকেন্ড kiss, there was some suspense built-in: the catchy song setting the mood, the sea creatures and the lightening bugs making things cozy and romantic, and I was really rooting for Eric and Ariel. It was clear as দিন to me that Eric already liked Ariel, even though she had ব্যক্ত zero words to him. আপনি saw how broadly he grinned while he was trying to guess her name... Eric actually laughed at the face Ariel made when he called her Diana. Eric definitely was flirting with Ariel. I don't think there was any "forcing" going on, on Ariel's part at all." ~wavesurf

Ariel and Eric's 2nd Almost Kiss

I honestly thought this one was going to make it at least to the শীর্ষ 3 since it is so well known and iconic. It goes with one of the catchiest ডিজনি songs ever written, "Kiss the Girl," and is a beautifully animated scene. It always made me so mad when I was little that Ursula foiled them. I always wanted Eric to চুম্বন her anyways even though they were dripping wet after climbing out of the lagoon!

4. Ariel and Eric's 3rd Almost Kiss

I'm not a huge অনুরাগী of this almost চুম্বন because I feel like it gets হারিয়ে গেছে amongst the chaos of the wedding that precedes it and the final battle that occurs immediately afterwards. It's just a little forgettable to me. I actually almost forgot to include it in the countdown!

3. সিন্ড্রেলা and Charming's Almost Kiss

This is such a cute almost kiss, I'm glad it made it to the শীর্ষ 3. I was actually thinking about this one when I got the idea to do the countdown. It's a beautiful scene and would have been a perfect moment for a kiss, if it hadn't been for that darn clock!

2. Rapunzel and Eugene's Almost Kiss

I was a little sad (and a little surprised) that this almost চুম্বন didn't win. It is such a well known scene and the suspense is palpable! It makes me sooo mad when Eugene doesn't চুম্বন her. The only other almost চুম্বন that has an impact on me like that is Ariel and Eric's 2nd almost kiss. (Maybe I just have a thing for kisses in boats?) Regardless, this scene is perfect, and the চুম্বন would have been perfect had it actually happened.

1. জুঁই and Aladdin's Almost Kiss

This is my পছন্দ moment between জুঁই and Aladdin. I feel like this is the only time when their relationship really feels natural and organic, and not forced through a sieve of lies that আলাদীন is telling. Even at the end of the movie Aladdin's actions leave a bad taste in my mouth, but here he hasn't made any bad choices yet and so the moment is so sweet. It definitely deserves to win, even if it isn't my personal পছন্দ almost kiss.
