I don't think you mean to come across this way, but it sounds a little racist. It seems like you think it's impossible for a Native American to wear something beautiful. If you aren't a fan of Native American clothing that's fine, it's your opinion, but just be aware that in their cultures beauty is defined differently than it is in Western cultures, and this dress might be considered very beautiful. Personally I love this dress. It's actually in my top 10 favorite DP dresses! I like how you ranked your top favorite outfits so far. I'm looking forward to seeing how your list will change as you look at more princesses' wardrobes. :)

But OMG I read that other article linked by "Laylastepford" and that is the most racist thing I've ever seen!! And I've watched Song of the South!! MaidofOrleans @Sparklefairy375 and blanche_rouge the article has since been edited and I no longer consider it to be racist. If you read my comment above there are a couple quotes from before it was edited which might give you an idea why I had an issue with it.

blanche_rouge Oh ok that does sound really bad out of context but reading the comments, it is clear that andy10B didn't mean it that way. Anyway it still wasn't nearly as racist as this Laylastepford article I just read. I was so offended and then I read the comments and somehow she manages to play the victim card despite preaching that "loose" women deserve rape and all men are sexual predators. I left a piece of my mind on her article.

I didn't think andy10B said anything that would make me believe he was putting down Native American dresses at all nor saying that they aren't considered beautiful in their own culture. So I was just trying to understand the difference between why MaidofOrleans' comment was considered not racist but andy10B's comment was considered racist when they both made the exact same points but just using different words. Seemed really ticky-tacky or overly sensitive to me to accuse racism over a difference of word choice which tends to change from culture to culture - meaning that different cultures have different ways of speaking but I would think the point should matter more than the word choice. I think when we focus more on the word choices and not the points people are making that this could in itself be racist since for example, Asians tend to use different choices of words than Europeans etc. If andy10B (or anyone else) had said they didn't like Elsa and Anna's dresses but that was as good as it could be for Norwegian culture, I truly doubt that anyone would accuse racism and be more likely to see it from an objective stand point - that the author doesn't prefer that specific culture's fashions but is still complimenting the dress anyways and not saying a single thing negative about it overall. Specific cultural fashions have the limitations of the their culture (as well as time period) and that's not always going to be everyone on earth's cup of tea. I fail to see how that equates racism but then again, I also fail to see how simply asking how it is racism is also racism but perhaps that's just because I stick to the dictionary definition. It just seems that some people are too quick to label racism here when it's not necessarily appropriate. Furthermore, I really question if this wasn't labeled racist just because the people leaving comments here just assumed that andy10B was not Native American without anyone bothering to even ask. (I didn't see andy10B write in their article that they were for sure not Native American so it seems prejudicial to just assume that he's not.) As far as whatever past "war of words/opinions" that any other users have on this site with each other, I don't want anything to do with it and request to please be left out of it.
