Hugo suddenly appeared in book 1?

Hi there,

I am absolutely hooked to Fablehaven, almost getting to the end of the first book, I've already ordered বই 2 to 5. As it seems they only get better? With some magical artifacts appearing in book 2?

A big প্রশ্ন though: I thought that the "pacing" of the first book was odd. আরো precisely : just before the chapter "The Forgotten Chapel", Grandma has hung up a little trinket to attract Hugo back to their house and at the beginning of "The Forgotten Chapel", he seems to be pulling them ahead in the rickshaw.

In the pages before that, I had the feeling (just a feeling while reading) that the লেখক was trying to add a little mystery to Hugo (where did he go to? If he had some fixed and defined tasks, why didn't he দুধ that humongous cow in the barn?) and it was strange to see this character suddenly "be there". Without any explanation অথবা some lines that he (eg) cames throdding out of the forest towards them...
