Why is everyone creating spots about themselves? Is that the intended purpose of Fanpop?

I think আপনি are totally right. I ব্যক্ত the exact same thing on a pick in this spot recently, and lots of other people have noticed it and are annoyed দ্বারা it too.

I am under the impression that ফ্যানপপ is about sharing your প্রণয় of something like a movie, tv show, celebrity, band, খাবার অথবা lifestyle etc. I definitely do not think it is a place for "profile" type spots where people just talk about themselves. There are a BILLION other places where আপনি can create a পরিলেখ অথবা blog, so it sucks that people are trying to turn this place into those other generic places. I joined ফ্যানপপ because it WASN'T one of those sites!

I saw someone who has a dedicated অনুরাগী medal in a spot dedicated to herself. Its great that she is so into herself that she gets a medal, but it just seems so unnecessary to me.

I just want to say something about Wile Quixote's site. He didnt make it himself. Somebody else got together with some other peoeple and did, and he doesnt really like it as much as he may goof around! HE looks like he's having fun and all but I know him because I am related to him, and he protested really hard against it, becasue he ব্যক্ত it was embarrasing having people thank him like that.
He does a lot of things for a lot of people with out anyone knowing দ্বারা not putting উত্তর up on these things. he would rather play the fool on these spots অথবা threadsand send them an e- mail with his view opinion, অথবা whatever kinds of help he can offer.And people like that of him and one person started it and others jumped in, and finally cammie did also..and i know he isnt happy that she did.I basically want to just defend him, because he don't see himself as no celebrity
and nobody special. I know he likes to kid around big time all the time! but if আপনি knew him in our প্রথমপাতা town and the people he works with আপনি would understand why sometimes thats a necessary requirement. I hope I explained and got off my chest what I wanted to in the right way.

You`re absolutely right. I`ve always thought the people who do that are just plain stupid and unaware of fanpop`s original purpose. I`m not sure it`s against ফ্যানপপ rules though. But if it is i`m actually pretty surprised the ফ্যানপপ crew lets these members get away with it.

That's right. Members already have profiles where people can be অনুরাগী of, I think making spots about yourself makes আপনি feel really full of yourself.
