Recently ফ্যানপপ introduced a new feature to our পরিলেখ pages:

The Showcase!

Eventhough it’s not a very complicated feature, there seem to be quite a few প্রশ্ন surrounding the caps. This gave me the idea of লেখা this article, answering the most aksed questions. Let me first say that everything I write is based on how I think this new feature works. I’m not one of the fabulous F4, so please correct me if I’m wrong about something.

1. What is the Showcase?
This প্রশ্ন was answerd দ্বারা F4 Dave: “The new showcase is for your ফ্যানপপ bottlecap collection that will continue to grow with new and exciting স্মারক based on your participation and activity across the site.” In other words, the Showcase is the place on your পরিলেখ page where all your স্মারক are presented.

2. What are Caps?
স্মারক are rewards that can be earned in different ways (that I’ll explain later). Consider them prices for various things আপনি do on Fanpop. They have no further purpose, it’s just fun to get them.

3. How do I get Caps?
That depends on the kind of cap. The system for getting them is automated (like the medals) so whenever আপনি deserve to get one, আপনি will. Some can be earned দ্বারা doing specific things, others are প্রদত্ত randomly.

4. What different kinds of স্মারক are there?
So far there are 5 different types of Caps. I’ll explain every type and how to get them here:

4a. ফ্যানপপ Firsts
There are 5 স্মারক to earn in this category so far:
1. Fanpup: “Welcome to Fanpop! You’ve earned this adorable কুকুরছানা for joining the ফ্যানপপ family. We’re glad to have আপনি here!” This টুপি is earned when আপনি যোগদান Fanpop, therefore every Fanpopper has this cap.
2. Picture Perfect: “Now don’t আপনি look sharp in that পরিলেখ picture আপনি just uploaded? অথবা is that a picture of your dog? Either way, well done.” This টুপি is earned when আপনি উঠিয়ে রাখুন a পরিলেখ picture.
3. Speak your mind: “You added a নীতিবাণী to your profile. Good for আপনি for speaking up for yourself.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা adding a নীতিবাণী to your পরিলেখ page.
4. Wall: “Writing on someone's দেওয়াল on ফ্যানপপ is not really vandalism, we approve of your graffiti here.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা লেখা something on somebody’s wall.
5. Facebook: “ Thanks for ফেসবুক Connecting us! আপনি really "like" us! Don't worry, we won't spam your News Feed.” This টুপি can be earned when আপনি connect your ফ্যানপপ account to your ফেসবুক account, and like the ফ্যানপপ page on Facebook.



4b. Frequent Flier
There are 5 স্মারক to earn in this category so far:
1. Tourist: “ You've visited ফ্যানপপ 5 days in a row! You're just starting to fly.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা visiting ফ্যানপপ 5 days in a row.
2. Sightseer: “You've visited ফ্যানপপ 10 days in a row! Let's get আপনি in a real plane.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা visiting ফ্যানপপ 10 days in a row.
3. Traveler: “Wow! You've visited ফ্যানপপ 20 days in a row. আপনি must like us! Time to upgrade that old thing with a private jet.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা visiting ফ্যানপপ 20 days in a row.
4. Jetsetter: "Holy cow! You've come to ফ্যানপপ 50 days in a row! You're totally addicted. Time for a jumbo jet for আপনি and all your fans." This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা visiting ফ্যানপপ 50 days in a row.
5. Globetrotter: "Visit ফ্যানপপ 100 days in a row." This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা visiting ফ্যানপপ 100 days in a row.



4c. Holidays
There are 6 স্মারক to earn in this category so far:
1. Valentine's দিন 2011: “Will আপনি be our Valentine?” This টুপি was earned দ্বারা everyone who visited ফ্যানপপ on Februari 14th 2010, Valentine’s Day.
2. St. Patrick's দিন 2011: "May the luck of the Irish be with আপনি today!" This টুপি was earned দ্বারা everyone who visited ফ্যানপপ on March 17th 2011, St. Patrick's Day.
3. April Fool's দিন 2011: "Stay on your toes today!" This টুপি was earned দ্বারা everyone who visited ফ্যানপপ on April 1st 2011, April Fool's Day.
4. Earth দিন 2011: "We've only got one, let's cherish it." This টুপি was earned দ্বারা everyone who visited ফ্যানপপ on April 22nd 2011, Earth দিন 2011.
5. Easter 2011: "Time to go find those eggs!" This টুপি was earned দ্বারা everyone who visited ফ্যানপপ on April 24th, Easter 2011.
6. Happy Birthday 2011: "It's your birthday! We're honored that আপনি chose to spend part of it with us so here's to you!" This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা visiting ফ্যানপপ on the দিন আপনি registered as your birthday in আপনি account. This স্মারক was introduced in April, so birthdays before that were not rewarded with this cap.



4d. Good Luck Charms
There are 7 স্মারক to earn in this category so far:
1.Gold Coin: “There's luck on both sides of this coin!”
2.Wishbone: “May it break your way!”
3.Ladybug: “Looks like ladybug luck is on your side!”
4.Rainbow: “What's at the end of it?”
5.Shooting Star: “When আপনি wish upon a star...”
6. Pot of Gold: "Enjoy this pot of স্বর্ণ before the Leprechaun realizes it's missing!"
7. Horseshoe: "Point the ends up!"
All the স্মারক is this category are প্রদত্ত randomly. There is nothing আপনি can do to earn them. Just spend time on Fanpop, and আপনি might just be rewarded with one of these.



4e. Experience
There are 5 স্মারক to earn in this category so far:
1. Novice: “You've been a member of ফ্যানপপ for a month! You'll be a pro in no time!” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা being a member of ফ্যানপপ for one month.
2. Learner: “You've been a Fanpopper for a বছর now! Time to ride with the big boys!” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা being a member of ফ্যানপপ for one year.
3. Veteran: “It's been 2 years since you've joined Fanpop! No আরো bikes for you, you're cruising now.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা being a member of ফ্যানপপ for two years.
4. Expert: “Three whole years as a Fanpopper! আপনি are clearly ready for your license to Fanpop.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা being a member of ফ্যানপপ for three years.
5. Master: “Can আপনি believe আপনি joined ফ্যানপপ four years ago?! Here's a bigger ride for আপনি and all your অনুরাগী to cruise the site in.” This টুপি can be earned দ্বারা being a member of ফ্যানপপ for four years.
