What's the difference between people wishing Hogwarts was real and wishing Edward was real?

Nothing at all.

They are both equally acceptable and unacceptable, depending on the severity.

Just a simple desire for fictional things to be real is completely fine, no matter if it's a character, a building, a town, a store. Anything.
If it gets to the lever to where it has a significant effect on your life, that is when it gets unhealthy. If আপনি are now sobbing uncontrollably every দিন because বই aren't real, then আপনি should probably seek therapy.


I also have to add that any sort of desire for any element of a story to be real, has absolutely nothing to do with the story, it's content, অথবা the person who wrote it. It's 100% the reader. If আপনি have that type of personality, it may happen; if আপনি don't, it won't.

the difference is the wish itself...wen sum1 wishes for hogwarts(like me)its for the actual place and the meaning of it. hogwarts represents magic and the feeling of a সেকেন্ড প্রথমপাতা to ta people tht dnt have t perfect living situation. Ta problem with ta edward wish is just for ta person,either they think he's hot(not) অথবা just bc hes a vampire. ta choice is bases on wat they want then wat they need.

wishing Hogwarts was real is wishing there was a whole other magical world to escape to when we need to অথবা want to. Wishing Edward was real is nothing but lust in my opinion.

honestly? i don't really care. even when i really প্রণয় some ফ্যান্টাসি book i never wishing them to be real..

but if আপনি want to be fair, one was wishing a school of magic to be real another was wishing one character to be real.

it might be আরো fair if আপনি compare people who wish edward was real with people who wish Harry was real.

There are some people who wish Edward Cullen was real to just meet him, and accept that he's not real, but still wish and hope he is, maybe even think it a little, and I find that fine. What worries me is when there's several girls I know that decided they're in প্রণয় with him and reject real guys for Edward fictional character Cullen. I don't have anything against Twilight অথবা its fans, the book being one of my guilty pleasures, but there is a problem with the girls I've just described. That's just sad and obsessive, and is crossing the line.

The only difference I find is that they get a lot আরো berated for wishing Edward was real, and are told that they should lower their expectations when it comes to guys.

the difference is that hogwarts is a place and edward is a person/vampire... so wishin hogwarts is real is a much bigger wish than wishin edward was real but id rather hav hogwarts than edward personally
