Yeah I'm sad so many great characters died (like Snape, Bella, Tonks, Lupin, Mad Eye, etc.) but they needed to. I mean if there hadn't been so many deaths the story would have seemed flimsy and incomplete. It would have been as anticlimatic and boring as Twilight, where with few exceptions no one ever died. And I mean, as D_J said, in DH when the death toll rose so dramatically they were fighting a war; people were definitely going to die.
I don't think so. I mean, a lot of the great characters died like Fred,Sirius,Snape,Lupin,Tonks, etc. But I think she did that so that we, the Harry Potter fans, could learn that a part of living IS dying.
I agree with the above. It was more realistic than just offing all the opposing. It was a war and in war there are many many MANY losses. I was also expecting to lose more than we did.
No, everyone character who died, died for a reason. They were all part of showing the sacrifices people made, and how serious the wizarding war was and how much people lost from it.
