The Devil Wants Peace had just finished recording their latest album, their self-titled album. Lenny, their manager, made a tour schedule for them. John, Allen, Peter, and Stan were all excited about their upcoming tour. The পরবর্তি day, they all got ready for their flight to New York, the first stop of their tour. Although John feared heights, he was okay with flying. Usually, someone else would sit দ্বারা the window. Once they arrived in New York, they decided to go to their hotel. John said, "Today has been a long day, and I think it's best to rest for tomorrow." Allen said, "It's especially essential for you. I know আপনি had been sick recently." John said, "It was only a cold, Allen." Stan said, "Yes, but it's clear that you're still feeling some of the effects of it." John coughed into his sleeve. He said, "You're right." Peter asked, "Do আপনি think you'll be able to perform tomorrow?" John said, "I'm sure I will. I haven't been coughing that much. Besides, I've packed plenty of cough drops just in case." The পরবর্তি morning, John, Allen, Peter, and Stan ate breakfast. John was not coughing at all. They later rehearsed. "Jolly good, John!" Peter exclaimed. "Your cough is gone." John said, "I knew it would be." That night, the group gave an astounding performance. After their concert, the group retired to their hotel rooms, eager to conclude their tour the পরবর্তি day.

No Stable Place
Aside from Uncle Bob, the only other family members who paid me any mind were my grandparents. My grandfather passed away about a বছর and a half after my father's untimely death. My grandmother lived until I started high school. When she was alive, I could always go to her with a problem. Every time I would have a bad দিন at school, I would go to her. She would say, "Tell me what's wrong, John." I would tell her what was wrong, and she would make everything better. When she passed away when I started high school, I was devastated. Now I had no one to go to when I had a bad day. That's when my record listening became আরো frequent. Other than my dog, Beatle, it was my only উৎস of comfort. I really missed having a person to talk to. I missed having someone who listened to me. When he wasn't working, I could call Uncle Bob and talk to him, but it wasn't the same. Grandma seemed to have an answer for everything. Nobody else seemed to have that gift.
