Why is it that teenage girls nowadays are so insecure?

Perhaps it's because nowadays there's a certain "image" অথবা "figure" that a man অথবা woman must have in order to be liked দ্বারা others, and thus people worry about fitting in like that. I dunno.

It's the same thing with guys feeling inadequate towards females. I know I have felt that way from time to time and I normally feel decently confident to a degree. It's all about media and stereotypes and those being dumb to only follow stereotypes. That's what causing the problems.

It's sad that teenage girls are stereotyped the same way. Being 13, I consider myself a teenager. I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb, because I'm not uncomfortable wearing the same jeans I wore yesterday to school অথবা going without brushing my hair once. People have based their lives on image and popularity when it's turning the world into a conceited society. This is the reason I say I hate people, but people in general. Not specific people. They're pushy. Loud. Self-centered. This world has gone to the dogs.

Everyone goes through an insecure phase.
But eventually we grow out of it.
It usually happens during the teen years, and it's not always girls. Just saying.
But sooner অথবা later, we'll get over our insecurities.

Seeing all those people on টেলিভিশন অথবা on billboards with "perfect" looks (cough, cough, makeup and technology) with "perfect" lives makes someone wish they had all of that, when the people they see don't even have it to begin with.

I'm going to assume that it's a mixture of hormones and the pressure society puts on being "beautiful". Also, way back when, girls weren't really allowed to express themselves, it was scorned and frowned upon for centuries. And now that ot isn't such a taboo, it seems আরো prominant.
People are free to be insecure nowadays, it isn't something that has to be kept secret anymore.
Not only that, but people are getting picked on an bullied more, it seems. I'm not exactly tall, but I am stick thin and naturally blonde, and I'm actually really insecure about that as well as other things. Everybody has insecurities of some sort at some point in their life. Although I believe everybody is perfect, nobody is flawless, and for some reason people feel the need to be flawless.

It's all the media and society to now a days. When a Tv tells us to look and act a certain way. For example: Gurls have to be thing, tall and big boobs. Guys gave to be muscular and big dick. But that's all crap! Forget the damn TV and be proud!

Honestly, I'm tall, blonde, and thin, but I'm still a bit emotionally insecure. I understand what আপনি are saying. No one can be alike. Everyone has certain features that make them beautiful in their own way. Whether, it's eyes, personality, hair, etc, everyone is unique. People should not try so hard to be like someone else and be what they want ever they want. Ladies, just ignore what other people have to say about আপনি if it's negative, আরো than likely, they aren't anything they say. Also, আরো than likely, people on চলচ্চিত্র and TV shows are fake, so don't try to be like them either. Just be your good 'ole self.

I am a teenage girl myself and I tend to see that a lot of girls now and days want to be stick thin, best body, want a perfect face and all that nonsense. I see it all over twitter & tumblr & facebook. I just want to help all of these girls honestly. Girls just have low-self esteem. It's almost impossible to make them feel positive about themselves. We don't realize that we're actually fishing for compliments because, we want to feel better for ourselves. Sometimes people just won't be there for আপনি so আপনি would have to depend on yourself. What also gets to me is that girls think make-up will help. আপনি can't tell who's pretty now and days because, almost every young person আপনি see is pounded with pure make-up and it's disgusting. For me it's a whole different story. I don't wear make up because, it feels icky. I feel fake and I feel like plastic wearing it. Especially parties I don't wear make-up. Make-up and I just never worked out. I guess girls tend to wear make-up because, they have no confidence, অথবা they're just filled with too much pride in themselves. Like I totally understand that আপনি don't like how আপনি look, but covering yourself up with make-up doesn't প্রদর্শনী true beauty.
