Its a doll... Its not supposed to be a role model. Nor is it supposed to be proportional because its a doll. Duh, common sense. The story behind বার্বি isn't really that bad. People demonized Barbie, not the other way around.

A lot of action figures are pretty muscular. I'm sure not all guys can be that muscular, but no one says a thing about it. বার্বি should be as excluded as well.
Appearance wise I guess. Because she is way too skinny and her body isn't exactly a right proportion so if a girl wanted to look like Barbie,she would mostly likely almost die because of it. IF she wants to look like Barbie. Otherwise I don't think so.
yes, it sets an image in their mind about how youre supposed to look in order to be considered beautiful, even though beauty comes from within as well as outside.
I played with বার্বি পুতুল when I was younger and I didn't start to become self-conscious about my body until I went into 7th Grade, around the time I stopped playing with them. So I think that my self-esteem issues I had during junior high were আরো because I was jealous of the way my peers looked, not really of the way বার্বি looked. Honestly, I never aspired to have Barbie's body, I just liked to dress the পুতুল up and make up stories with them. And like I've heard before from other people, I've never heard of boys over-exercising, hating themselves, অথবা using anabolic steroids because they wanted to look like G. I. Joe.
Okay, the doll is NOT a role model. It's a বড় দলা of plastic!!! What type of role could আপনি model from an inanimate piece if plastic? The movies, however, have great lessons that everyone could learn from.

And I hate how people demonize underweight people, I'm pretty thin, and I honestly hate it when people think I starve myself অথবা I hate my body. I eat a lot and I honestly could care less about how my body looks, I'm not dying. As long as you're not dying stop thinking about how your body looks...
It's just a doll and some people are overreacting over বার্বি and her physique. She has been around for several years,so why does it matter now? I saw the plus-size বার্বি and that looked pathetic just because someone is big it doesn't mean they have three chins. Nobody would want to buy it to be honest
I think she's a relatively good role model, considering other 'role models' that young children are exposed to. Whilst her body does defy the laws of biology and physics, she is portrayed as a successful, creative young woman with a load of achievements (pilot's licence/astronaut/president of the USA) in roles that are typically male-dominated, which I think inspires girls to fight gender stereotypes.
No. বার্বি is a toy that is fun for young girls to play with. People demonized Barbie, but it's honestly just because they are, in fact, however sad this sounds, jealous of a doll.
