Of course not. It's entirely possible for someone to be academically smart but still be incredibly stupid, and vice versa.

I'm inbetween yes and no. They are a measure of intelligence, but only a certain area of intelligence. They only measure intelligence to an extent, more specifically, factual intelligence.
Factual intelligence isn't all there is though.

I've seen really dumb people with good grades, and I've seen wise and intelligent people with bad grades.

To a certain extent, yes they are. They just measure a small portion of a certain kind of intelligence - it's the same for any measure of intelligence, like IQ... it measures a certain kind of intelligence, but only one small area in particular.

Everyone has their different way of studying. If you are doing it in types through mine is the textbook. And if you are good at the textbook good for you cause that's the easiest way to study. But, people have their different thing that the intelligence is high for them. To be honest I don't think there's a such as a thing as an idiot.

I think anyone who answers yes for this is just a sad and bitter person.

I know so many people that have gone to great Universities and such but are clueless (not completely clueless, but you know what I mean) when it comes to problems outside of education, whereas some of the wisest people I know do not have as many A*'s or whatnot, but to me, their grades do not matter in the slightest as how I see them as a person.
