Here in my state (SC) we're not allowed to learn about contraceptives.

I think it's total bullshit that we're not allowed to learn about condoms and birth control. Only abstinence. Which is BS because I know kids at my age having sex.

I think it's bs. My school did a little of both - they taught us about contraceptives (basically they said, "there are condoms, pills, rings, and foam), but they pushed abstinence to the extreme. It did not help. I graduated in 2009 with 120 classmates. As of today, 30 of them are pregnant, 29 of which are not married (8 of those are not with the father anymore), 15 of those 30 are still in college, 12 ব্যক্ত they simply didn't even use anything and nine of them don't know who the father is. All of them are working part-time and so are the fathers.

I think schools need to, not only teach about contraceptives and how easy and affordable they are to get, but also what happens AFTER আপনি get an std অথবা pregnant. Pretending like sex is still some taboo thing, like the schools seem to be doing, is only making teens (and younger kids) আরো interested in sex.

Eh, hehe. Sorry about the length. My friend and I had this discussion yesterday and I'm still pretty fired up about it :p

Yeah I agree. আপনি can't enforce abstinence, teens are going to experiment no matter what. Abstinence is great, but it's a personal decision. Contraceptives are important, they need to be addressed for awareness.

I personally see that as a huge disaster waiting to happen. Just my thoughts.
