Let’s face it, Sam hasn’t exactly had the normal, pleasant life that he was at first hoping for when we met him in the Pilot episode. In fact, poor Sam has had quite the opposite of a peaceful and normal life these past six years. We’ve laughed with him, cried for him and wanted to মুষ্ট্যাঘাত him various times through the seasons...but it occurred to me that he has gone through much আরো than your average Joe would. Muuuch more. And most of them are actually almost অথবা completely unique to him...
1. Getting addicted to demon blood: Okay, this wasn’t the smartest thing Sam’s ever done. It was plain stupid. Although it wasn’t entirely his fault and Ruby’s powers of persuasion played a key part in Sam’s addiction, it has to be ব্যক্ত that some of it was his own fault for letting it go that far. But, back to the point, I’d say this is pretty rare to happen to a human...I sure don’t pull out my flask and start chugging down demon blood when I’m out with my friends, anyway...anyone? Anyone at all? Didn’t think so.
2. Getting possessed দ্বারা Lucifer himself: We know from 4x20 The Rapture that being possessed দ্বারা an অ্যাঞ্জেল is not fun, to say the least. “It’s like being tied to a comet”. Well, if that’s Cas, I dread to imagine what Lucifer riding your অস্থি would be like. Possession দ্বারা Satan isn’t exactly something hardly anyone’s ever done before either, seeing as Sam is his true vessel. A unique and horrible experience, we have to hand it to Sam for being as mild to say “This feels pretty damn far from good,” when asked দ্বারা Lucifer while possessed.
3. Losing his soul: From the jump of Season 6, we got the feeling something wasn’t quite right with Sam, and it wasn’t long before we found out what his problem was. As Cas “diagnosed” him with no soul, all his emotionless and cold actions made a bit আরো sense to both Dean and us. When Sam returned from Hell soon after arriving there, because he wasn’t entirely whole, it made the পূর্ববর্তি বছর and a half before Dean found a way to retrieve it very hard to face and come to terms with when Sam finally got his soul back in 6x11 Appointment In Samarra.
4. Having the floodgates in his mind opened to the memories of Hell: When Cas broke the “wall” inside Sam’s mind that was the single barrier protecting him from hellish memories of Satan and Michael torturing his soul, we were pissed off. Actually, Cas in the season 6 finale pissed us off generally, am I right? But again, back to the original point, Sam was relying on the দেওয়াল Death had put up for half the season, and for it to come crashing down like that was quite a shock. We don’t know what Sam’s going to be like in Season 7, but if Dean’s emotions about Hell are anything to go by, it won’t be at all easy for him পরবর্তি season. Again, quite a rare experience, and one that I sure wouldn’t fancy having myself.
