First question: What does Aslan mean? (read description)

Hmmm...that is a good question. I'm not sure if there is a definite answer to it, but this is how I personally see it.

No one is ever told what would have happened, and no one is told any story but their own. That's a given. HOWEVER, if আপনি think about it, Aslan wasn't so much telling Digory what would have happened as much as He was explaining how the ফলমূল works. How আপনি can "find your heart's desire, and find despair" (in other words, "Be careful what আপনি wish for!") He told Digory what would have happened because it was necessary for him to understand and learn from it.

But in other instances, like Aravis wondering about the servant girl (in HHB), অথবা Lucy wondering about what might have happened had she gone to Aslan at once and left her siblings behind (in PC), it wasn't so important. Whether she knew অথবা didn't know wouldn't matter অথবা make things any better.

There are also two other factors to keep in mind: One, Aslan isn't a tame Lion. *wink* Two, Aslan is a wonderful but fictional "supposal" of যীশু created দ্বারা a wonderful but imperfect human being named C. S. Lewis, who probably didn't obsess over his বই nearly as much as us Narniacs do. :P There's bound to be a few mistakes অথবা plot hiccups here and there.

The word Aslan means Lion in Turkish.

I think that aslan would have told Diggory because it was sort of a warning not telling what would have happened. Because if aslan didn't tell him he would have eaten it but he wouldn't have known the consequences. In other cases there was two endings. Like if lucy had come early there were two outcomes but both sort of ended well.
