riley: *smiles then gasps at jinx* the difference?! well they are different consistencies. Some are thick some are not. Water colours are good for delicate paintings maybe a sunset or something soft. Where as poster paiints and oil paints are better for vibrant paintings such as abstract. There are many different types and different colour pallets
