similarities:
- stephan and edward have been "alone" for about a century
- they both fall in প্রণয় with a human girl (with brown hair)
- They both feed off animal blood
- Both are trying to "redeem" themselves
- both guys have awesome cars
- there are a group of people in each series who want to kill them (volturi and the towns people)
- both elena and bella find out about vampires, want to help their partners and cannot tell others that ভ্যাম্পায়ার exist to keep them নিরাপদ (jeremy, charlie etc)
- প্রণয় triangle- elena (kathrine), stefan, damon and edward, bella, jacob
- they both have নেকড়ে-মানুষ who dont know they are নেকড়ে-মানুষ to start with
- both the salvatores and the cullens have family crests
- both girls come from broken/unconventional families.
- Both girls become vampires

Differences:
- Stefan burns in the sun (except when he has his ring) whereas edward doesnt
- stefans family (i.e damon) does not follow the same diet as he does whereas edwards whole family eats the same way
- the transformation process is slightly different
- there are other magical forces in TVD- witches for one
- some humans know about vampire in TVD- the towns people, in twilight only bella (and the নেকড়ে pack) know


these are just some similarities and differences, im sure there are more

ive never seen the tv show, but i প্রণয় the books.

i actually think there are a lot of silimilarites, besides that they are both about a vampire romance.

-edward and stephan are both "vegetarians"
-they both go to high school
-they both ignore the girls (stephan blew elena off and edward kept glaring at bella)
-they both end up saving them from a terrible fate (stephan saved elena from almost being raped and edward saved bella from being smushed দ্বারা a truck)
-they both are over a century
-they both think they are "monsters" and try to change that part of themselves
-theres a প্রণয় ত্রিভুজ (actually, theres a প্রণয় quadruple in tvd)
-bella and elena cant tell people about ভ্যাম্পায়ার and werewolves
-neither burn in the sunlight

Well, i প্রণয় them both too!
The similarities are a lot i would say. There are a lot of movies/shows about ভ্যাম্পায়ার but this is not the only similarity:
1 There is a girl who is human and has no idea about vampires
2. She meets a boy (Stefan/Edward) and likes him from the beginning
3.then she learns he is a vamire
4 Then there is someone else (Damon/Jacob) and there is a trianagle

But they are pretty different too, both the বই and the movies/TV show...
