When I woke up, it was already dark. I tried to get up but noticed that I was in hospital: the bed, the drip, the equipment around me - all medical stuff so I had to be a hospital. But then Carlisle came in and I recognized the glass wall. Am I still at their house?
"How are আপনি feeling?" and he started checking my blood pressure.
"I have a headache but everything else seems fine" I ব্যক্ত concentrating on my sensations "How long have I been unconscious?"
"For a long time - about 7 hours. I even scanned your brain but there was nothing unusual. Did আপনি ever had any head traumas?"

"Do আপনি need anything? Water? Coffee? Are আপনি hungry?" Esme suddenly came and she was nice as always.
"No, thank you, I need just some fresh air" and I went to porch. The night was cold but refreshing.
"Hmm.." I heard someone clearing her throat. "I didn't want to interrupt you..." I turned my head to see Bella.
"Yes?"
"Can I ask আপনি something?"
"Sure" I wished I won't regret this later.
"I just noticed that you're not very afraid of us"
"Should I be?"
"No, it just... Not many people treats with us so, so... Normally"
"I wonder why" I spoke ironically again "Maybe it's somehow related to the place you're living?" I showed the woods. "Or the fact that আপনি doesn't age? অথবা that some of আপনি like threatening?"
She only laughed quietly "Can I ask আপনি something else? Something really personal?"
"Try"
"When Jasper mentioned becoming one of us, আপনি considered it for a while, but at the end আপনি turned it down. Can I ask why? Don't get me wrong, there are some downsides of this life, but আপনি don't know them and from your perspective it should look like... "
"Like being beautiful, rich and immortal?" I sugggested
"Yes" she was waiting for my answer. But I wasn't sure whether I want to answer.
"It just, I don't know how to explain" I paused "But I believe in balance - আপনি have to give something in order to get. What should I sacrifice to become one of you?" she nodded and I knew that she didn't any other explanation, but I decided to tell her the true reason. "How can I accept such long and interesting existence when I'm sure I haven't deserved this one simple short human life?"
Her eyes widened but before she could ask me anything else I went back to living room. I had things in my life I didn't want to remember.

Nathen carried me up to my room, like he usually did. I fell asleep against his warm chest. It was great to know that me and Nathen had made up. I didn't like to be mad at anyone. It is hard sometimes for me to forgive people but its usually not that long till I do forgive them.
