Okay, so I am coming into this movie from the perspective of a viewer who has never seen anything from the original film. All I know about this movie is that it is, in fact, a remake of the original film and it was directed দ্বারা body horror master himself, David Cronenberg, in possibly his most জনপ্রিয় film ever.
