Hey, I'm the same one who asked how to torture her character, now I need to get down some details on rescueing him

Of course I can figure most of it out myself but I need a little help. Here's what I know for certain about this scene.
The rescuer is female, the victim's police partner/girlfriend. She will get in an altercation with the bad guy but not to violent of one since she is six weeks pregnant and the criminal will escape to reappear in the sequel. The scene will end with her comforting the victim, mainly I need to decide if it would be best to have him concious but a little delirious, concious enough to be aware of his surroundings but still very weak অথবা barely alive with the rescuer begging for him not to die. This scene must have some romantic element but also be very dark.
