Why do people write fanfiction?

It's not necessarily "funner" to do either or. Fun is a subjective term that isn't the same for every single person.

For some (like myself) fanfiction is a great লেখা exorcise. There's already an existing world, with built characters and rules, so I can focus on different ways to work plots, plan stories, and just work on making my লেখা stronger in general.

For some, it's just a way to kill the time, to kill the infamous "writer's block" that cramps their original stories. For others, it's just for fun.

Also, লেখা fanfiction isn't unimaginative. The writer is still working with their own plots; sometimes their own characters; their own interpretations of the world, rules, and characters; and is using their own, unique লেখা style to tie it all together.

To put it simply, some writers lack imagination sometimes. An imagination drought if আপনি will. Now, are আপনি saying if we lack inspiration we should stop লেখা altogether? I don't think so. Besides, if আপনি wanna get technical, we are being original because when we write, we're just borrowing characters, setting, etc, but NOT ideas. Most of the fanfictions are original because of the simple fact that our ideas are original. Not even the famous authors of these বই thought of of what we have. Good answer? :)

Because we like it and we can imaginate a lot of situations with our fave characters! :D

Because আপনি want to write a story about your favourite tv characters doing what আপনি have always wanted them to do and in addition আপনি can imagine yourself in the story. Always fun and to be honest easier to do than work out your own characters.

I think we ARE digging into our own imagination with fanfictiin. I grew up watching TV, and I প্রণয় the characters from my পছন্দ shows. I think it's really fun to be able to write for my পছন্দ characters, to see them do things they've never done and be with people they've never been with. Are we being unoriginal? I don't think so. The characters may not be from our imagination, but the plots are, the ideas are, and the dialouge is. If I প্রণয় a book অথবা a TV প্রদর্শনী enough-- if I প্রণয় the characters enough-- then I প্রণয় thinking up fanfics about them. I can understand certain character better after I write about them. That's why I write fanfiction, anyway. :)

Fanfictionists (as I like to call them) are either very obsessed with a story already made and want to bring in their own contribution that'll never actually be true but its the closest to it অথবা that they have little imagination and feed off already made storylines to make 'pretend' stories of their own.

Well, I'm just starting out, so I'm still working on coming up with my own ideas. I write অনুরাগী fiction for practice, I find it a bit fun to recreate my পছন্দ বই and anime, but I'm working on লেখা my own work. I write it for practice, just to test out my skills, almost like a warm-up before getting into the big leagues.

I myself do not write fanfiction, but I think that when people read books, but things don't turn out exactly as one had hoped (ex. two people who আপনি wanted to end up together didn't, which seems to be a fairly common fanfic), people write their own alternative ending. অথবা if some character অথবা event really intrigued someone, but they didn't get to learn as much about what happened as they would have liked (ex. the death of a major character, the mentioning of a big event, if the main characters have kids, etc.), they write their own interpretations of what happens.

I agree, I prefer লেখা out of my own imagination, but for some people, it may be good to write based off of someone else's book. As long as they don't themselves to লেখা based off of other people's work, I think there's nothing wrong with it. I mean, I প্রণয় to draw fanart, but I draw my own stuff as well. Is drawing fanart lack of imagination? To some extent, possibly. But I do draw my own people and my own settings as well, which is certainly not a lack of imagination. As long as I don't myself to relying on other people's work. (And even so, fanfiction (as well as fanart) does have some imagination in it, if আপনি think about it! It's the reader's interpretations, and they are imagining their own way for things to happen. So while I agree with আপনি to some extent, I think it's perfectly fine, as long as আপনি don't yourself to relying on other people's work).

Well, I see where আপনি are coming from but it is kind of a warm up if আপনি know what I mean. It helps আপনি write better before আপনি সরানো on to your own stories. I started out দ্বারা লেখা fanfiction and people loved it, so I started using my own ideas. Fanfiction is kind of like Level 1 in লেখা stories.

Its a way to start out your লেখা career. আপনি are able to put a twist on something আপনি like. I'm just starting out দ্বারা লেখা fanfictions. Its actually really fun to write, especially if আপনি are not intending to get serious with your writing, which i plan to do. Its just a thing for fun.

আপনি can write fanfiction for various reasons, to practise, just for fun etc. At times it's just playing around with the characters, অথবা it might be to "fix" something that happened অথবা didn't happen.
Sure, some fanfics are unoriginal, but there are those which are very well-written and imaginative, with respect for the characters and rules of that world. Things come down to what আপনি want with your writing, and I don't think fanfiction as a whole should be looked down on.

Even লেখা fanfiction আপনি still are digging into your own imagination...sometimes when you're having trouble fleshing out your original stories it helps to take something that the characters and setting are already developed and play with them for a while before going back to your own characters.

I'm a fanfiction writer and I believe its because every one wants to read fanfiction, like the obvious most জনপ্রিয় fanfiction, Harry Potter fanfiction is very জনপ্রিয় everyone wants to read it I have one of my own and it is definatley the most জনপ্রিয় out of all my other writing. I believe its because the story ended and people want to grip onto something so its still there and every one wants to put their own twist on the story, and some want to change the way the story ended mostly I think. But I don't think its because of a lack of imagination.

Well, I'm a fanfic writer myself, and I write for fun. I really like imaginning my fave characters do something different. Even if the প্রদর্শনী অথবা movie etc. isn't ours, but we also get to use our imagination to come up with our own ideas.

Because some of us find it fun to place ourselves in stories. We still use imaginations, sometimes we make our own extra characters and give them a vivid back story. It strengthens লেখা altogether.

Because they don't want their fandom to end, অথবা they feel creative and write an alternate ending to the fandom for fun. It doesn't mean they're unoriginal. They প্রণয় that fandom so much and feel as if they're a part of it's world, and they like to create new ideas about it. Also, some people write Fanfiction to fill in the gaps. For example, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the readers were spontaneously introduced to several new characters in the epilogue, and as a result decided to write Fanfiction on how those characters interacted অথবা how the kids were brought up. It's fun to write your own stories and create your own world and set of characters, but it's also fun to প্রণয় a world আপনি never created and expand your ideas on it.

Okay, অনুরাগী fiction writer here. I can see your point of view, but please take a look at mine.
I was inspired দ্বারা a book I read (Harry Potter), and I kept on thinking "Oh, what if this had happened, অথবা that...". আপনি know, that kind of stuff. And then I found fanfiction.net. That was the place where I learned everything about অনুরাগী fiction. That website is full of budding authors. অনুরাগী fiction is like a stepping stone for লেখা your own story.

It's called 'fun' a word আপনি obviously don't know about.

Because they like some characters in some movies,comics,...and want to make a change to them.The best way to do it is লেখা a fanfiction .It's really fun,because I used to do that in the past.^^If আপনি don't believe,try and আপনি will know,have fun!!!!!

In Fanfiction, আপনি are free to imagine new scenarios, locations and even new characters within the existing universe of a series. So, আপনি are using your imagination and it can be original.

I personally like to write both. Fanfics are something I write when I'm board অথবা when I feel the need to make an alternate ending where the character I loved didn't die. অথবা simply to write something that I wished would have happened in the story.

I personally write fanfictions because I like to put my own character into the storyline.

I think people write fanfaction because they don't want to plain out fangirl over 1D, অথবা whatever kids like these days. They like starring themselves, making the reality of them meeting them come ture in at least a story. I, personally, think it's kinda stupid though.
