Not really since your helping the reader paint a mental picture based on what আপনি প্রদর্শনী them. I'd say the only time your really telling them is saying the বছর অথবা what a letter to a character says. Though in regards to the letter it does help to 'show the font style and what type of parchment to give a person an idea that if they close their eyes they can see themselves পাঠ করা it. The only other time I'd say telling is okay and I'm kinda on the fence about it is if আপনি say something like for example Jack went for a run he was supposed to meet Jill that afternoon. অথবা like if your like quoting a daily schedule like For example Jack's daily routine was as followed. Get up, get dressed, go for a run, go ঝরনা then get ready to go to class.
In general I'd say you've got to combine the two especially if your doing something like a fight scene আপনি can describe blood and gore in detail but, it's not recommended.
