I dislike the books, but after seeing image after image labeled "Twilight sucks", as well as মতামত after মতামত with the words, I'm beginning to see why we can be accused of being "haters."

"Sucks" is not a swear word. To say something sucks is not going to send আপনি to hell. But it is derogatory, and immature, and does not lead to any real discussion. Well, unless some mature Twilighter comes along and say, "I see that আপনি think Twlight sucks. Why?" That might spark discussion. But the twilighter has the upperground in that debate, considering the anti has already shown her immaturity দ্বারা using the term "sucks."

When I hear the word, I think of frat boys leaning out the windows of SUV screaming at rival বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় students "COUGARS SUCK!" (Note: The WSU Cougars happen to be my alma mater's rival.) It's not really becoming of an intellectual, which I know everyone on here is (or at least, tries to be). It's a juvenile slang that's OK in the halls of high schools অথবা middle schools and on television, and complaining about things in your life (ala "My life sucks!"). However, it adds no real substance to the great বিতর্ক over the issues and topics in Twilight. The প্রতিমূর্তি people are adding are funny, and sometimes make excellent points through humor. Sometimes, the প্রতিমূর্তি are not mature (but still funny), but I'm willing to accept that so long as it doesn't come with the শিরোনাম "Twilight Sucks." We can all indulge in a little immaturity every now and then.

But I guess what I'm asking of আপনি antis is, be nice. Use your words. Be respectful of people who like Twilight and may take offense to আপনি using the term "sucks" to describe it. I know this has been going on for a long time, but that's exactly why I think it's run its course and we should put an end to it. "Twilight sucks," Oh, haha, yes, OK, there we go, let's সরানো on.
