Smug, প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে great pride in one's own achievements. Self-conceited is a synonym... So I guess that can account for Mephisto? He is a rather prideful person, and thinks of himself/the things he does in a rather arrogant manner. But he's still fabulous~
